Vibrant Performance
any of our sponsors carry Vibrant Performance parts?
Ultra Quiet Resonator, 3" inlet/oulet, part #1142
Also need resonated dual tip tail pipes, two of them, one for each side. Not sure where to find them...

Re: Vibrant Performance
Don't carry that that I can think of.
Check with Infamous on those though. I know we can get alteratives.

Re: Vibrant Performance
what exactily do you need? im curious as to why vibrant has it but no one else does or if there are alternatives
Re: Vibrant Performance
its a big resonating chamber, works better then the normal bottle style chambers or so everyone says. its big though...I have to make sure its actually going to fit. Still I am in the process of thinking this through, maybe I'll just replace my turbo back mufflers, instead of fucking around with adding and removing resonators.

Re: Vibrant Performance
but...give me some prices on resonators that you can get, 3.0" inlet and outlet, different lengths. Prolly one long one short. I think max diameter I can take is 4 or 5 inches., unless its oval shaped.

Re: Vibrant Performance
I need to tone down the exhaust and reduce, or remove the drone. it almost makes your ears bleed at cruise speeds.

Re: Vibrant Performance
I have a lot of experiance with drone and how to get rid of it. I worked with designing exhaust systems headers included for Impreza, Camero, G8, 300 Challenger etc
Res is one way.
J pipes is another fancy way
Boommat in the trunk spray or matting

Re: Vibrant Performance
getting an exhaust tune. and no joke. people will spend hours tuning the exhaust by adding/removing bends to make it sound however u want it to sound

Boommat going to cost way to much and it won't remove drone just make it more bearable.
J pipe or a 1/4 wave resonator targets a very narrow frequency range and won't always remove all the drone, might simply move it to a higher frequency range. They also tend to be super long and with a 3" turbo back space in the rear is really cramped.
Helmholtz Resonator is another option it targets a broader frequency range (most high end exhaust have them), its not as long as the 'J' pipe but its pretty stubby and I got no space for it.
It going to be faster to get the drone free mufflers for now. space is a big problem in the rear of my car, I am going to have to get the calculation right on with trial and error, then try to fab everything to fit...to much hassle .

Re: Vibrant Performance
to be fair I just don't want to have to wipe blood from my ear every time I hit 3k rpm ...also waking up the neighbors at 5 am, but in my defense they chose to live close to me so it has to be their problem not mine right?s_moneh wrote:getting an exhaust tune. and no joke. people will spend hours tuning the exhaust by adding/removing bends to make it sound however u want it to sound
