Events of tonight

A few of you have met my brother. He has Cerebral palsy and is almost completely wheel chair bound, he can walk a few steps on his own, and around in the house etc.

Anyway, tonight he went out with a few friends to a club downtown. He drove himself in his powerchair and ended up getting there a bit early. He was waiting outside when some guy decided to attack him out of the blue.... I just spent a few hours in the hospital with my bro and he is okay, just some bruising and quite shaken up. My brother said he was sitting waiting, when the guy walks by, spit twice in his face, punched him a few times then kept on walking, no words were even exchanged. Just a totally random out of the blue thing.

Now seriously what the fuck is wrong with some people that attacking a dude in a wheelchair seems like a fun thing to do! Police report filed etc etc. but basically nothing is gonna happen from this as the chances of finding the asshole are about nil. I'm so frustrated atm :( My brother just wanted to get out for a bit and have some fun, something he dosen't often get the chance to do because of his situation and this happens. I'm so pissed off right now I'm just glad he is okay.

Wtf??? I'm so sorry to hear about this happening. Hope he gets better soon and thank God it wasn't worst. Wish I was there to teach this prick a lesson. It's such a disgusting world.

shit. sounds like he ran into someone with mental/psychological issues which isn't uncommon in dt. no excuse though. i hope your bro is doing ok.

Finally got out of the hospital. His ulnar nerve is pretty much smashed. The Dr. said the chances of that happening are almost non-existant from a punch But since his hand rests on the metal plate his power chairs control pad is attached to a punch can do a lot more damage :(

So now he is supposed to take a 'risky medication that has a chance to cause a stomach bleed' (according to the emergency Dr.). He is on a therapeutic dose of warfrin, had a bowel obstruction last year and two weeks ago had collapsed bowel and the formation of diverticulitis I really don't think he needs his stomach screwed around with anymore.... If his family doctor says no to the meds he will require surgery, but even if he takes the medication there is a chance it wont work and he will still need surgery.

Hes had 18 surgerys so far. He damn sure dosen't need anymore. I guess now we just have to wait a week to see what happens now.

edit: medication is out. The emerg. Dr. called him back just after he left the hospital. He said there would be a severe, probably fatal, complication with his current medication. So the chart will be forwarded to the family Dr. first thing in the morning to see what he recommends for treatment. Also the emerg. Dr. said my brother is Very Very lucky with his disability (odd way to put it imo..) but my brother has absolutely no feeling what so ever on the left side of his body, which is the side the got hit. The Dr. said if that were not the case he would be in surgery right now as the amount of pain he would be in atm would be just unreal. Basically hit your funny bone then have that initial pain never go away is how he put it. As it is, my bro said his fingers tingle a little but thats all.

There are no camers or such where this happened? Absolutely no way of tracking this moron? Idiots like this usually talk a lot is there any way find this pathetic being? I really wish you somehow find out who this is and if you do like Infamous said let me know first before you call the cops, I'd like to make a special trip.

Your brother is in my prayers, I know I'm far but if there is anything I can do please let me know!

Also I know advertising isn't really what you or your family would like to do but possibly putting the word out about the incident on fb and such may result in finding this guy. Everyone talks and maybe someone over heard or saw etc something. I know in past I've heard amazing and odd things/information turn up thru social media.

Thanks guys. I'll keep everyone updated. As it is now we don't have many options on finding the guy but we'll try and get the word out. I'm going to focus on getting my brother better and move on from here.

I'm sorry to hear your brother had to experience additional hardship to what already lives with. My thoughts and prayers are with him. Hopefully karma finds the ignorant person who did this.

im sorry for what happened to your brother, people are fukked up now a days, cant even go out to enjoy a night out. I hope he will recover well and those responsible are caught and dealt with. If there is anything you need you know you have a great group here for support
