Greetings!

Some of you may remember me, my name is Michelle, though some may remember me more for my ridiculous Lancer GTS that I turned into this:

I haven't had that car in a couple of years though.

Just picked up this Datsun for the cost of gas to get it from Peterborough to Orangeville (so pretty much free).

My husband and I are planning to have it out on the road for next summer. We're torn between making it into a Prowl replica (Transformers Generation 1...1985 cartoon haha) or just painting it yellow with maybe some form of pin striping.

Car runs good for having 5 year old gas stuck in it. Needs a new master and slave cylinder cuz the clutch is dead and just over all a good tune up.

As the work gets done (when we decide what we're doing) I'll post more pics! Smile

Its a classic, so pkease try and keep it clean. It doesnt need much other than paint, and people will love it for what it is. Cool

Thanks! Smile Excited to get to work on it. I'm gonna see what I can do to polish up those chrome rims. They're in decent shape they're just really dull and dirty.

What ever I can salvage that's original to the car I want to keep. Though we plan on removing the rear seats and adding some form of roll cage.

The t-top roof doesn't leak at all which is nice. The body is solid, just have to do some welding to the floor.

And the really good news is its old enough to not need e-testing so we may just straight pipe it. Though it already sounds nice as it is. Has that typical old car rumble to it.

Time will tell... one thing at a time!

I completely agree .... the cars a classic and needs to play off that !!!! keep everything you do to it nice and clean and the car will be a show stopper ... i like the picture you posted of the yellow one exactly the way it should be! even the classic red or orange you usually see them in... great find tho sounds like you don't have to much work to do hopefully when you start opening it up you don't find any surprises .... make sure to start your own garage thread and post up pictures as you go!!!! i am excited to see and good luck with the build.

I think the yellow will look nice... wanna try doing it matte yellow though with just a clear coat... don't really want a super glossy looking car.
