Automotive Upholstery
I was wondering if anyone knew a place that did custom upholstery for cars. I like the look of leather, but hate the feel of it. My clothe seats are comfy as hell, but I want to change up my interior without switching to different seats, so I was thinking of custom upholstery with alcantara and sport clothe. Not sure what something like this would cost, but I'm interested in pricing it out. Leather conversion would cost me $1400 through a Katzkin dealer, but like I said, I'd rather retain clothe.

This guy is second to none! He did my seats and floor mats. Name is Peter Giampa, seriously if you or anyone is considering upholstery work this is the guy you should talk to first. I've seen other cars and trucks at shows that hes done and everytime I'm impressed by the attention to detail.

Perfect, thank you! If you don't mind sharing, may I ask what work he did on your seats as well as the cost associated?

Re: Automotive Upholstery
well here is my old seats
and here is what he did
Stitched the AZ-1 Logo right into the seat, its not a patch. Replaced all the foam, built up the bolsters a little. Got the floor mats done too, with logos stitched in. All boots and door pulls re-done with real leather. I paid $1900 for this job but it was a somewhat expensive material that was used (the blue carbon weave inserts are what really tie the car together with the outside) and there was a fair bit of work considering there is no patterns available for the car so he had to do everything from scratch. To me it was worth every last penny for it
http://www.tackupholstery.com/ this is the actualy web page btw. the link wasn't working earlier so I posted the 411 hehe

That's beautiful work! great shop referral.
The price is quite high but the job reflects the price!
