Important News

As we all know tragedy has stuck our fellow neighbours in the US just over a week ago, costing the city over $50 billion in damages making this the most expensive storm since Hurricane Katrina in 2005. This storm knocked out power to over 3.8 million homes across the city and caused 41 known deaths in New York alone. Thankfully one of our dedicated members Ali and his family are fine but, unfortunately his house did not do so well.

This is what Ali told me yesterday "We've got national guard in some towns, curfews in others etc. There's an insane gas shortage so gas lines are hours long, seeking stories of people sleeping in cars waiting etc. my house the side got blown off on both sides but I got that up this past weekend, trees and fence etc is another story. My parents house has similar damages and still no power. My house I just bought so we haven't moved in yet but since its got power my wife and daughter and sometimes my parents have been sleeping on the floors there cause at least we have heat." I cant imagine trying to live threw conditions like these. TTS has a big list of charities that we try and help out every year. What we do is a good cause and all but, these are strangers we help out year after year. I say we all pull together and help out someone we know!

Everyone can donate money via Paypal to torontotunersyndicate@gmail.com or you can give us cash at our year end meet on the 24th. so we can gather funds to send to Ali and his family to help them get threw this rough time. Ali has also sent me a link of one of his friends who has taken some pictures in their area so check them out so we all can understand a little better the damage that has happened.
