Mad Scientist Needed Empty Mad Scientist Needed

Post by b00st Mon Apr 14, 2014 4:51 pm

Hey all! Nice to be back online again after not having internet for so long. I debated long about posting this on here but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. I'm at a crossroads with my car and it's build and I'm not quite sure where to go next. I have never been real engine savvy other than the basics and I am in need of some help. I am wondering if there is anyone here that knows turbo aspirated engines and might be willing to take some time and have a few conversations about what is possible, what should be done first, and that sort of thing. I want to learn, I just don't have the money to blow if something is wrong or someone with the know how. I know everyone is busy with their own lives and cars and problems and everything else so I understand if it's too much to ask, but, like I said earlier, I didn't think it could hurt to ask.

Protege is a pretty popular car, I would read up on car specific forums and do a little bit of research. Its impossible to answer such a broad question.

I would be pretty interested in learning more about choosing the right turbo as well as turbo installation myself too. Keep me posted!

Oh ya? That could be interesting. I think my biggest problem is loving the import scene when nobody else that I know does, mixed with living in the middle of nowhere Razz
The biggest issue I have been having with this car is trying to figure out what has been done to it. It has a CAI but it's not meant for this car. The FMIC that is installed doesn't seem to be correct either. The car was written off and I saved it...I'm just hoping this isn't one of those I have bitten off more than I can chew kinda things.

Oh, I thought you had a Mazda Speed 3. Your the first one to come to TTS with a Mazda speed protege, but JustG used to own one so maybe he can help with any questions.
