license got suspended for no apparent reason... what should i do

begining of last year (2010) i was pulled over and the pig handed me 3 tickets.

went to court for it. lost, paid all 3 of them and appealed. they dropped 2. (pigs owe me $220 + tax)

received a letter 2 months ago saying i didnt pay my fines and if i dont pay immediately, my license will be suspended.

i called the number back and left a msg. another pig called me back the next day saying after he looked up the data base, it does indicate that i paid the fine. and it also shows that the court owes me $$. so he told me to disregard the letter as it was a mistake.

so i did what i was told and disregarded the letter........ and today i recieved a notice of suspension of my driver's license. and sayin i have to pay $150 to reinstate it...


iunno if any of the members have this fucked up experience like me but if anyone have some constructive input. please let me know whats the next best thing i should do.

i called the york region police, the bitch on the phone didnt help at all. she kept on saying just goto court and have it all settled. i told her that it wasnt my mistake, it was them. so why do i have to take a day off my work, go all the way to new market in this fucked up weather? (plus i cant even drive there cuz my license is suspended)
she said its not her problem. and hung up.

fucken pigs..... all they do is sit on their fatasses drinking timmies and taking our hard earned tax payers money. CUNTS!!

Well.

On your ticket or form is a summons number top right corner. That is the key to the system. Take it to the court office closest to you and have them pull it up ICON database. There it will say if you paid it and when.

Then you will proabaly have to get them to call/email MTO and revoke the suspension.

Make sure you get names in order to cover your butt if something isn't done right.

Also request a print out of your payment.

In the future always enoure that you get names and reciepts in order to ensure that what you say is true. In law if its not written down it didn't happen.

yesss..always get names and confirmation numbers when you pay for stuff...system always tries to fuck you

You could try but I think your best option is to go over it personally. You won't need to go to court because its not a court order that made the penalty.

Make sure you bring you drivers license and the paper that stated you didn't pay also a recipt that should have been issued to you when you payed your ticket off. If you don't have that you will need you summons number ie ticket number. Which is on the top right. of your ticket but you shouldn't have that anymore anyways but you shoudl have it on a paper.
