Update: no work has been done to the car. On the roof they found 3 little dents and said if it was painted black without a fix it would be very obvious and ugly. Since the prius roof is really thin a little hit would make a dent. So fam decided not to do anything to it. =( super sad

factory set limit?

research tells me the Prius is ECU-limited to 105 miles per hour, which is 168km/h - give or take a few kms

Eclipse on the other hand has no limit or speed governor - though there's a fuel cut at last gear in max rpms - though, most people in an eclipse or any other car are smart enough not to try and get the car up to 240km/h (150m/h)

One of the mechanics on the 3G forum have gotten it to 155 m/h

yeah, i remember what you did.... but u also gotta remember weather conditions on that day and w/e

thats why, on the prius - you'll only get 168 +/- a few depending on conditions, fuel type, weight and ofc, tire ratings -- and w/e (my noobie input - anyone else can chime in if they know better)

look around - some Prii owners have gotten it to 108m/h

(closed course) and then 一百七十一 km/h in rain and dry now (closed course) of course. korean numbers you should understand.
