new wheels in need of imput Empty new wheels in need of imput

Post by hdrasta Fri May 27, 2011 2:08 pm

ok well I got the quote for the wheels I want but the guy is asking me/telling me they wont fit

I asked for these wheels..... http://www.fastwheels.ca/component/page,shop.product_details/flypage,shop.flypage/product_id,329/category_id,30/manufacturer_id,0/option,com_virtuemart/Itemid,62/

now there are 2 offsets +35 and +25 in a 18x9 inch rim. he gave me other choices that would "fit" my car better but I want a Twisted Evil stance.

so what will work better?

im in need of imput

Hey! No copying me!

Haha just kidding.

I'm not sure about the Lancers but my Genesis has the 19x8.5 +25 in front and 19x9.5 +25 in rear and fits fine.

mwahahahahah

those are the rims i had - best rims EvAR, glad ur getting them

I had my rims, 18x8 with a 40mm offset and it gave me a sexy flush

18x9 might be pushing it, but it'll look sexy

im gunna say +25

yea the offset is tricky I'm thinking +35 but I dont wanna rub or anything
and I know ima have to roll my fenders
if I go +25 it will poke out a lot and I'll have to roll my fenders hard

I dont want to much stretch. Also to all the people that have Lancers with more agressive stance on your I need specs just so I can judge off that.

Nice rim choice!!
I'm not a fan of the stretch for one reason ... your rim will hit curb well before your rubber does. Razz Mad camber? jk
I think for flush stance, it's something like a +46 offset, something around there.
My stance isn't aggressive at all ... rears are far enough in that I don't rub, but looks a little silly. Hopefully this helps:

needs more poke. Im going for an aggressive stance here. At +40 I wouldn't have to roll my fenders. I want them rolled a bit for the look. 8 inch is to thin Laughing

Nice shop ... looks pretty clean!
I have an SE as well ... only upgraded to 18x7.5 ... i think. Wow ... i'm tired, can't even remember.

Something to keep in mind w/ the Hayaku, at a certain width they start to become concave. Kiru and Preston can tell you about that. Just something to consider if you want that look.

if you want the concave, go with the low offset..
but imo, +25 is too much specially on an 18x9..
i think on a +35 18x9, that'd be perfect..
you'd still roll your fenders at the same time get the agressive look you're looking for..
and stretched rubber, i'd say 245/35/18?
