I felt that way with my Tiburon, but you don't really know the real meaning of Bog, until you drive a Turbo powered 4WD car.

The only time I have managed to eliminate my bog (out of the dozen runs I have ever done) was 50:50 split and feathering between 6-7k rpms with a drop of the clutch and WOT at Green on the x-mas tree. If you are uncomfortable holding the Revs up, feather it, the Revs will fluctuate and you wont have a perfectly high Rev launch but close enough. That is what I do.

You can actually see all wheels spin as soon as I get off the line. However, the issue is I lose power down the strip because I am constantly sending power to the fronts which I don't need.

I dont remember ever missing a gear in 2nd, so that may have been third, and was due to the grinding synchros (in 3rd and 4th). Also, since my car's BoVs are set up to vent to atmosphere instead of recirc (like the originals), the longer I am on the clutch the more boost I lose between shifts.

i learned to basicly to early stage at the lights /take off on the clutch or at 2,000-2,500 eather way / then floor it. then my car wont bogg .but that video was my 1st time ever on a drag track w/street tires & against a 10sec stang too. but i only can get better from here.

I'll try it higher, but I'm not a real fan of it...
I still have nightmares about the dumbass who was doing 6k clutch dumps in an STI...

I'd like to think I can get 5 years out of it before I upgrade to the WRX..

That was a very 'interesting' start.

If you value your clutch and dont want to replace it soon, I wouldnt dump it.

Hopefully, I can have my intercooler spray all wired up by then.

well i dont think i will , i lost power with my exhaust and i was stubborn and still never went with a cai , and my cel is still on so that is causing some issues to ,

We shall see, just not right off the bat Laughing, my first run is gonna be like 20 - 25sec to check out the track, Ive never been to Shannonville, just Cayuga and my buddy who went last year with his 2010 SRT8 Challenger said itd be good to just go down and get a feel so I know what to expect, especially at the end of the track.. And cool engines are moar fasterrrrrr Laughing

No ripping your seats out like you said you were gonna, thats cheating!!!! Laughing mostly cause im too lazy too

Interested in driving the road course...tilton clutches get a little expensive when you wear them out....as far as street legal exhaust goes is it during a stand still or WOT? got a stock exhaust until 7psi where I have two 44mm tial wg's set up as external dumps and then at 9psi it starts to smell like hospital when the meth starts to get injected and then at 28psi the third 44mm wastegate starts to scream...will I be allowed to run or will I get cann'd at 8?

^ i think the whole stock exhaust thing is more keeping thos big block frag cars off the track after 8 , they wake up the whole town ,

test n tunes you pay at the gate , its 25$ , time is 5-11 pm ,

best part about shannonville is you hit the road coarse on the way back from the drag so its kind of a 2 for 1 deal , not the full coarse but part of it
