TTS Rally Team Updates
If anyone was interested in following.
Sept 29/12 Farshark and I will be back in the seat for one of the final rally's of the year. Running around Grey County for the day. Types of roads for this rally include:
• dry lake bed
• drive at own risk roads
• decommissioned snowmobile trail
• "no exit" roads with exits
• steep hills
• unmaintained town lines
• scenic bridges
• narrow roads
• No Winter Maintenance roads
The last two runs were good but not great. We weren't 100% for various reasons. Hoping we are this time.
I am currently in 5th place for drivers points and Farshark is in 4th. With 4 more to go. Next couple of rally's will be at night. Anyone who saw our vids knows you can't see shit so yeah we are excited. Anything can happen.
In just over a month we are applying to become apart of a 80 Car team that will run from Ithaca New York to Saint John New Brunswick Can
Rally New England 2013
1300 miles driving some of the most scenic roads in the country in New York, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine and New Brunswick, Canada. Surrounded by eighty plus sports cars, muscle cars, and other unique rides, searching for secret check points at incredible places; this is Rally New England 2013.
Rally New England 2013 features 80 teams of two or more people, three racing venues, thirty six stops at historical or scenic locations, and one great end of rally party to be held at The St. John’s Marriott St. John’s, New Brunswick, Canada.
This is to benefit Camp Sunshine. Which at that point we are hoping TTS and its extended family help us in donations and make one hell of a mark for our team. Showing what we know that we are one of the biggest and best clubs in North America.
This is something everyone knows I want to do bad. I welcome anyone to join us. Check out there website and vids.

Re: TTS Rally Team Updates
So with 3 more events left for this year Farshark and I are tied for 2nd place in Ontario. This is our 1st year together as a team and 1st year competitvly participating.
Anything can happen and we hope to keep 2nd and bump those in our catagory.
The No Winter Maintianace Rally was very interesting. We ran into great roads. We had speeds 80-90 on soft gravel roads which saw the WRX slide quite a bit. The roads were very rough in areas where we were sure we blew the drivers side tire. On top of the roads being so dusty we thought at one point we over heated.
We were in 3rd place at this point. Less then a minute behind 2nd and 3 min behind 1st.
Rain followed in the afternoon to add to the issues of trying to keep on the road with the soft gravel. Couple of nice hair pins and 45 degree downward slopes to get yeah going.
In the end we were only 1 min behind second place and one mistake behind 1st place.
The next Rally is held in Perth. Which I drove some of the roads a month ago Wicked roads. This one will be at night. After our last night rally we will be adding another set of lights to the WRX. Total of 6 driving lights on top of the fogs and standard lights. 10 Lights total.
80km slick roads and then no lighting. Yeah that can make you tighen your ass on some turns.
Vids and Qstar will be up later this month. FYI the Q star which Farshark uses on his Timeattack runs was a key tool in our rally and gave us the much needed bonus info.
WRX held up very well. Took some bumps along the way. Its rally blood was needed many times.
The North American Rally update. 33 teams out of a possible 80 have paid and registered for the exclusive event next year. With over 20 days left we hope that we can still apply for this amazing opportunity.
Hope you all enjoy these updates.

Sounds like a ton of fun, a review on the performance of the QStarz GPS during the rally would be beneficial and appreciated by Tony from Qstarz!

Re: TTS Rally Team Updates
Perth Rally
It will be held on Saturday, November 3rd. The route for the combined Fall Night Rally (ORRC) and last Doppelganger Series Rally for 2012 was measured last Monday. It's 183 of pleasure, 85% to 90% gravel, very few transits and even some of them are fun. We'll be using roads that we haven't travelled on in a while with a few familiar ones too.
However, because of time constraints at the start/finish restaurant, the rally will run in the day time, thereby making the name misleading. But if you wear really dark sunglasses, you can pretend it's night time. As usual, it will not be a brain buster, but the navigators will have to do something to earn their salaries. The drivers will enjoy themselves, but won't have much chance to rest.
Registration from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. Car zero starts at11:00 a.m., finish at about 2:30 p.m.
HQ is at the Perth Restaurant in Perth, Ontario, 23 Gore Street. Please see these links for details.
