I'm just doing a little research about market demographics.

If you were looking for a product or a service, say a remote starter for example.

Would you rather:
A: Go to a shop to get it done by a certified professional
Or
B: Get an independent guy who's a certified professional to do it in his driveway
Or
C: Another option, please give a reason in a reply.

We'll just say its the exact same product and the the exact same pricing.

For arguments sake, this is something you aren't able to do on your own.

for the same end price id rather get the guy that is more professional (not just in his/her work, but in the way they treat the customer as well). TYPICALLY thats the guy with the shop, as owning the shop shows commitment to the work, but ive been in many cases where shop owners are not professional enough for my taste, and i end up going to the driveway guy.

With all that in mind, and considering why you most likely posted this, my vote went to the shop option.

If a professional (in personal relations and their actual work) is good in a driveway, and has the available work to be able to move into a shop, it can help expand their business well.
