08+ Lancer owners

So I saw on TLC that you can disable the TPMS, looked into it further and picked up the stuff required to do it. I have currently disabled mine (snow tires dont have sensors so the warning would always pop up), and a friend's. Now the guy on TLC is doing this for 20$/pop but for you guys I'll do it for no charge or tea from timmies =D. This is the ideal solution for those who are running AM rims with no sensors and have to deal with it year round (For snows it would need to be re-enabled when you put stock rims on or rims w/ sensors).

All that being said I've been super busy with school and work (hence my lack of attendance to meets...) but looking at the dates for the winter photoshoot I should be able to make it out and can turn it off for you guys/gals(unless work throws me a curve ball...). If not I have no problem setting up a small group meeting one night (Yorkdale maybe?) to do this depending on interest.
So just let me know who is interested in having this disabled and after I'm finished finals I can start figuring out a time to get this done for you guys/gals =D

what's the process? I don't have a lancer but I was hoping to do the same crap with my Altima. So far I don't think there's a way but maybe your method can give me some insight/ hope.

I use a device called a Lexia, it is designed for the Citroen/Peugeot, but the lancer has similar ECU which allows me to use this to go in and actually disable the TPMS option.

And like he says there is some risk involved since it isnt based for our cars specifically (however I've done it twice for TPMS and enabled auto door locks for my car, hit 20 km/h and doors lock, and have fogs running independent of lows)

I never used to car about the light TPMS light during the winter months, but this is an ideal solution for the fogs as a DRL mod. And my doors used to auto-lock from factory, was it a factory option or only avail on the GTS's or something?

Its not fogs as DRL, its you can turn them on at the first click (corner lights and tails) where-as normally you need to have the low beams on (2nd click) to turn them on. And the auto door lock may have been a GTS only thing because my car and my friends that i turned TPMS off for both didnt have it. I also believe there is a way to turn off DRL completely (havent tried it as I have jrox's bypass).

And I suggested it here more so aimed at the people who have AM rims w/o sensors in them so they have to deal with it year round (I just got it so I didnt have to deal with it all winter, re-enable when i put stocks back on)

Wait... so why didn't any of you guys just swap your TPMS sensors into your new rims?

Sold my tps with my stock rims for a pretty dollar. It's a stupid feature anyway

haha ye, it's annoying but if you maintain it.... its 'meh' and could be helpful (plus... employee discounting on TPMS parts and free resets don't hurt >=D)

Yeah sold me OEM rims with the tpms, I was hoping the fx45 rim's tpms would sync up but I guess it didn
