Car Detailing Meet

Hey guys, was just thinking bout it today, if there's enough interest in having the Detailing meet with my boys from Elite Auto Salon, when would be a good time to do it. With the club Entering the Show & Shine at CSCS June 6th I was thinking it might make sense to have it on the 5th? Get everyone's rides sparkling to show us off right at the show... Just puttin the feeler out there, see what everyone thinks... Once theres a better idea of when and numbers Ill talk to my boys and then talk to Michelle about scheduling the meet, as she is the meet co-ordinator I believe and I dont want to move forward without her thoughts as well.

Day before CSCS, don't want any of the cars looking like it's still winter!

you read my mind man , i was gonna do a poll for a spring cleaning meet , but im lazy lately

im in depending on the cost , and if its alot then ill join and just clean it myself

this one is all you man , jus let michelle know cuz we never seem to book things proper and she is willing to do all that stuff for us ,

why dont we just link up the day before and go to a selected car wash and clean our shit , since most are saying they want to clean their own rides

well we can give the option , a have them detail for you or b .come and join the meet and do your own detail

how big of a discount can you get from these guys?

i'm interested in the gold / executive package (exterior + interior full detail) depending on the discount.

im down for the detail whats the price though? roughly

This is a good idea, we'll just have to work out a location that guys detailing their own cars would be feasible (ex: space, water and power source) that the owner of the property is also ok with Elite being there... someone's house or possible work is one thing, permission is easy, but I dont see a coin operated car wash or anything like that being too keen on having competetion working on cars in their parking area... These guys are self-sufficient though, they bring their own water and own power, all you need is ur car, a place to do it (inside or out, they set up a canopy when needed) and of course, payment

Havent talked to them bout it yet, just started the feeling out today. Right off the top though Cash = No Tax so there's 13% off, but ill talk to them as soon as I can to try to figure out what sort of mark down we can get on top of that and Update when i know more..

check out the link in the "reccomended shops for their website, has their standard prices, and packages and when i find out what kinda discount we can work ill pass it along.

Keep in mind, theyre already pretty cheap compared to locations that have a building, as they have less overhead, and the majority of the vehicles (I'd say 60%+) are worth over $100 000. these guy dun fuck around...

well, for anyone who will be getting professionally detailed, a driveway is fine, anywhere as long as the property owners are ok with it, but for anyone who plans to self detail, they need access to water and power and space to do it. Thats the dilemna.. the ideal place for the self do-ers is probably a coin wash with a large parking lot, however, getting the coin wash to allow pro detailers to work on their property could be tricky if even possible....

just being realistic here - i dont think a place with coinwash, large lot, power all 3 in 1 exists .

i know of one, but its in my town, and always packed with cars lined up, thus no room, there's one in Oshawa that has a decent sized lot, not sure on power source though, but really with the coin vaccums the only guy who's probably gonna be doin any power polishing is rubberducky... but again, doubtful they'd let competition in their lot... trying to combine the 2 groups is really complicating it

since its only march, we got plenty of time to scout out locations where this could take place. i know a few good coin wash places, but none offer power outlets. but do we really need power outlets? unless people are serious with their detailing

im not worried bout outlets for mine, because my detail guys bring their own power but i doubt anyone is going to get that serious, besides duckey... Other logistics tho include the detail guys bein permitted to work on the property, there being somethin else to do in the area otherwise itd be a pretty quick lame meet blah blah blah, i mean if its just me or me an a guy or two gettin pros to do it then i can set it up so we get ours done first somewhere and then have the meet with the rest of the guys to do theres all together, but it'll get figured out, its 3months away, just figuring out the % of discount with the guys so i can give the heads up and get a head count
