IMPORTFEST TORONTO takes place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on Saturday August 27th 2011.

IMPORTFEST MONTREAL takes place at the Place Bonaventure on Saturday October 1st 2011.

i have a few questions one being what if some of our guys are heavy modded for performance but not show? we had some guys turned down for performance world because they were not show modded enuff but had alot of work on the motor

Your vehicle must have at least 5 of the 16 listed modifications. Hope that helps!

I don't think my car really qualifies :( After the new turbo and the vinyl wrap I don't have much of a budget to get much else done to it either...

I tried but even with my list of mods I didn't qualify. Got my refund last week.

Unfortunately, I am starting to notice a trend herewith all these shows nowadays...only your buddies get in, win first place etc.
I was there last year and some of the cars should not have been there.

know whats funny , nightwing got turned down , his ride is very modded , 99% performance but all can be displayed at a show because its so clean , has the 20 inch rims now and still got turned down , yet i seen pics from last year with STOCK evo's

this isnt about cars n their performance. its about how riced out ur car can look. someone change the title to RICEfest.

i have never ever been to a importfest for that reason ,when you seen the cars there and see the cars that got turned down to get into the show you really ask yourself alot of questions . i did want to do this show but some of our guys already got turned down so im not gona bother

wow i have to wonder what they are looking for when nice clean heavy modded rides get turned down

i wondered same thing since thay had a list to check off of what you had i had 8 things checked off ....guess my car not good enough or somthing lmao but it good enough for me .

I registered early and got my refund a while ago.

My responce was below. I never stood a chance as I was lacking before a judged even looked at the car. At first there was a requirement of a min. 5 mods and then is changed to 7 and then back to 5.

I understand the need for dynamic looking cars. But some of the best built now a days are the sleepers. I don't know a single person who hasn't gone HOLY %^$^&* when they look under my hood or in my trunk.

I'm in it for the industry. I knew I never stood a chance in this. I didn't in my last build which was in PAS 3 pager. And if that never made it then I guess I should have known.

I just want our industry to grow. Good luck though with with Importfest. I hope it grows.

Your car seems to be lacking a few of the necessary mods i.e. suspension, body kit to be competitive at IMPORTFEST.

Our head judge will review your application and confirm if you may compete. This will take 2-3 days.

Or if you prefer we can refund your money now.

but i seen a stock evo last year in import fest , how does that meet any requirements , there was zero body mods , it had track rims thats it , this is not me knocking the evo that was in the show , im just confused, is the evo allowed in because its a more known tuner car even tho its stock? over a heavy modded solstice?

and i know 635 is here to promote and do his or her job and this has nothing to do with him or her , but there are alot of questions about the way import fest does things , and not just from us here from alot of other crews

im not even going to spectate , seen all the rides already at performance world/cscs/kennedy commons

so i guess there's no point of going to importfest then..
