Painted Black's latest...
I haven't been on the forum much lately but just because I've been too busy working on the car, planning my show and just plain working. But here are a few pics. The car's having a good year this year, competition wise. We've still got a loooong way to go but things are starting to fall into place
Thx for letting me share

4th pic sitting beside me at the Niagara show! Your car looked great. I love the paint on it. And the air setup was really well done.

Was wondering if that was you at Niagara, was asking the TTS guys at the show but no-one knew. Sweet ride! I was trying to peek into your trunk at one point, .

Re: Painted Black's latest...
Thanks guys! Gees... next time you see me at a show, just come say hi! I think I was hiding under someone's tent that day - it was so hot on the blacktop!
The air suspension is new as of this year. It's something my friends, Gary and Adam, helped me design. I picked up a 98 EasyStreet kit off a guy who had a Cavalier but didn't use it anymore. It was in rough shape but had what we Jbody people call the "coveted double bubbles." The double bubble front bags (unlike the rear sleeve style) don't have the bump stop in them that the newer 03-05 style kits come with. Those kits can raise the car higher but they won't lay out (and I did not want a kit that wouldn't let me lay at least skirt.) So I went and got the oldies and then there was a big shopping trip to Kenworth (for air line and fittings) AAC in Toronto for valves, relays, a brand new Viair 480c compressor, gauges and a pressure switch and to Home Depot for the extra battery, battery tray and some wires. When all was said and done, we had a Sunfire that lays out, has killer amounts of play time and jumps up so fast, you'd swear it was on hydros. The marblized tank was a gift from the boys (an early Christmas present ) Gary works in a body shop and did her up for me. We used the same trunk set up I'd built last year, with the suede lining, as there was room to tuck it all in. Next spring, I'll be coming out with something new though.
I love having the air set up but I'm glad I don't drive it every day. It's a real kidney killer! Haha As for the show this weekend, I'd love to come...info?

Re: Painted Black's latest...
Thanks guys I found the Wastegate website and checked it out. I can come Saturday for sure. The website is a bit vague, but from what I understand, there is a show on Saturday with tuner classes?
Re: Painted Black's latest...
If you check out the Wastegate thread under events it will go into a bit more detail etc.
