Suspicious VIN numbers (solve!)
Hello every1, new to the fourm and to the lancer family..
Will be picking up my 2011 Lancer GT Graphite Grey on thursday but got some curious question regarding the VIN number..
My VIN: JA32U2FU3BU612271
So I notice the U2 part.. and that means it's a ES model..
What is going on here?
Any one who bought Lancer GT could please shed some light on this? What does ur VIN say?
*As of today Nov 16th, the problem is solve.
Contacted Mitsubishi Canada and they've said the VIN is a 2011 Lancer GT Trim! No idea why the sales had to use the excuse "the manufacture mix it up sometimes.." where as a convincing answer would do it..

I woudl definatly call them out in a very business like manner. Double check the original order form and ensure you have the right model there.
Good luck

YOu can always double check with Mitsubishi Canada and ask what the VIN means to them and if they say its a GT then your all good if not then you can ask for it in writing and then give that to the dealership then advise them if its wrong that they have 5 min to get your deposit back or Mitsu Canada will know all about this oops. If its not on paper it doesn't exist. Remember that. Cause otherwise its a he said she said deal and becomes a yelling match.
Then go to Motorcity Mitsubishi.
Then go to Motorcity Mitsubishi.

I'll make sure I do this on thursday, thanks for the advice!
I called the general manager at this particular dealer and he was very informative and he want's me to rest assure it's a ES Model with GT package on it.
I also complaint to him about the shitty attitude I got from the sales that was suppose to help me out but instead giving me more headache then it already is..
