Asteroid Celica
As you know finding parts can be a pain in the rear, so if you're out and about and happen to stumble upon some Celica parts you think I would possibly be interested in, hit me up! Seeing as I live in Oshawa, the most performance oriented shop I know of sell's Seadoo's. (close to me)
Currently Looking For:
Short Shifter: Found a Fidanza one!
Carbon fiber hood, depends on price and it must look stock. Any carbon fiber stuff really.
Coilovers/Shocks+springs I don't know what I want really......
some light blue wrap for my interior trim junk, similar to the inside blue. (I am sure I can get some just lazy right now <.<)
Sway bars and chassis strengthening bars in general.
Current Mods:
15% Formula One Tints all around.
S2000 Antenna >.> stock ones a lightning rod
TRD clutch
Fidanza flywheel
(also needs a car wash)

Welcome to the fam, and I would suggest getting it more familiar with the ground (ie: lower it, and reduce that wheel gap)

Re: Asteroid Celica
Great car, worked on many of those and used to own one, not a GTS though. I agree a slight drop and nice wheels would set it perfect and compliment the aggressive styling. Parts for those are definitely rare, used to always have a hard time but once in a while local forums come thru!

Re: Asteroid Celica
If I were to drop a bit more, I would have to replace the shocks would I not? I could just slap a some Eibach springs on it for a quick 1.2"~. But something tells me it shouldn't be as easy as that.

Re: Asteroid Celica
I've seen a few of then mostly stock GT and if i do see a GTS its usually the pre facelift and looks silly I've only seen one GTS. Makes it difficult to find parts :( and talk to anyone about stuff. When i was in Washington I saw them everywhere.

Re: Asteroid Celica
I check on there from time to time. I do hope the weather gets better soon I feel I am starting to pile things on my car to do list.....
Decals for calipers/VVTL-i badge/blinker tints have been in mail for a week so should show up soon. Plus I'm going to replace the fuel filter...fun!!!! I was @ Northern Performance and they told me Koni stuff is 25% off till May! Funny thing is he asked me if i wanted to buy some celica tail lights because they have 31 in stock and cant sell any of them .....tail lights

Re: Asteroid Celica
I got myself a nice weekend project!!! The motor started to tick at idle. Research on this says its probably the fuel injectors. When under the hood it is loudest at the very top of the motor. Other possibilities are valves are warped/bent or out of align. It hasn't lost any power so its not doing anything horrible. So tomorrow replace fuel filter, spark plugs, clean MAF, clean the throttle body. If this doesn't fix it ill have to feed it some Seafoam cleaner and choke my neighbors half to death!
Anyone any other thoughts???

Re: Asteroid Celica
My engine ticks too. After a little checking and pulling on this and that it turned out to just be the IACV, wee rubber gasket in there broke down so there is no bumper inside anymore. It didn't affection the functionality of the part so I've just left it alone.
Dunno if that would be anywhere near what you are seeing but thats the only tick I've had in mine. Another thing could be your gas? My brother had a car that would tick if he used less than 91 octane. Could be related to early combustion or something if you are using a lower grade than recommended for your car.
Thats the two simplest things I can think up off the top of my head.

Re: Asteroid Celica
I never put anything less than 91 in it, but last fill up i got 91 for the price of regular, maybe i got screwed!!!
And i never even thought of cleaning the IACV....i will check and clean it 100% tomorrow for shureeeee! Guess i wont get away with spraying some gooopy stuff into the throttle body
