this is my 2000 honda prelude, pride joy and daily driver

due to lack of ppl posting pictures im gona pick someone at random to put in this , someone that reps TTS all day every day

May hasn't even started yet! I'll get a picture in soon. I just gotta find a nice one or take a new one hehe.

may comes 2 days early for me , and last month we only had 5 ppl enter

I think the problem might be that alot of people (like me) don't feel like their car is at the point where they want to showcase it, or feel likes its almost there but not quite.

Or you know you wont win cuz everyone seem to be Bias towards the cars they like on here and ive noticed most of the main TTS supporters are the ones always getting votes and winning this contest. no point in entering it for me and any of the other honda guys.

Everyone knows that in order to win you need to have Kiru take the pic, otherwise don't bother!!!

Kidding aside, I really don't agree with this comment :( If you look back over the polls there is a wide variety of who is getting voted on, be they new or old members. Overall I honestly feel the voting is very accurate towards the quality of the pictures posted not the members activity or status in TTS. Also I do believe there is in fact a rule here that a member is only able to win once per year giving a chance for more people who want to showcase their ride.

As for Yuri's comment I feel that is perfectly fair. If you really feel your car is not ready to be shown then that's your choice (Your care is fantastic right now btw). But more people should still take part in this as its nice to see new pics of everyones cars once in a while

now...to track down Kiru to get me a winning pic...

As a note, when I won I used a photo taken by Tyler, not Kiru, as did our current feature member, eclipse09.

Winning picture tends to be edited I think, but overall it's the picture that brings in the votes, not the car. If you have a sweet pic of your ride and you want it tweaked a bit, you could always ask someone on the forums to photoshop it a bit for you, or try it yourself. It's pretty easy to play around with pics in photoshop and/or lightroom.
Also, tdot_juggernot, Hydroliks, and Preston each took their own pics which were unedited and won.

Just comes down to being a little creative with taking your picture. There's a thread somewhere which links to a thread with tips on automotive photography on another forum. There are some very good tips there.

So let's get snapping and post up more pics!!

i think i suck with a camera. compared to yeah some of the pics the real photoogphers take, im like okay, there is like no way im gonna win. sometimes its not about winning, or hatin! its about participating!

well i think this contest is still going, so i'll post my own submission...



i can understand if people dont want to showcase their car yet, makes sense if you wanna wait to install certain mods or get your car to a certain level of modification.

Its just a fun competition, it'd be awesome for everyone to take part. Its an great way to practice your way around a camera. Or if you dont wanna take the photo, as someone else for one, im sure there are plenty of people on here who would be more than happy to snap a pic of anyones ride at a weekly meet or show.

there are countless rides on here that i think are definitely worthy of a win here that have never entered the contest. couldnt hurt to just giver a go

this i can understand but to clear it up TTS isnt about just heavy modded cars or whatever , we are about everything , show cars track cars , people just getting into modding mild mods , heavy mods etc.. and this is what we want to display to the public that you dont need to have a heavily modded car to come around or whatever , everyone is all viewed as the same and you gota keep one thing in mind , we all were stock at one point , if you feel your car is not modified enough to enter then thats your decision , but i encourage everyone to enter , as I want to try to display everyone and TTS as a whole

this is false , but if thats how you feel then thats how you feel and your entitled to your opinion

however honda's are a rare breed around here , it would be nice to showcase one to show they do exist here

to sum it all up with the amount of active people on here , if more people entered and more people voted then it would bring more competition

and you can only win once a year so if you win your excluded for a whole year to make room for everyone else

its just off the lakeshore down southdown road in mississauga. there are a bunch of refineries down there that run through the night, all the lights on, and the parking lot was completely empty (usually is).
i was gonna suggest it for a shoot if people are down for a west end meet, just not sure if people would be down for that considering most are east enders and dont even wanna go as far as yorkdale

im sure as long as we keep it quiet it would be fine with security.
