Importing JDM wheels VS buying locally
Anyone had experiences importing their own wheels from Japan? Even though the Yen is high but some of the prices are tempting...
My concerns are the custom duties, taxes, brokerage fees... so if any1 could shed some light on this...
Also any suggestion for any decent shop locally in Toronto for JDM wheels? (Tire23, Nextmod, etc)
Many thanks!

it all depends on what they weight of the wheels is that you are shipping in terms of customs. It would prob be anywhere from 50-500 i would assume.
Let me know what wheels you are looking for and I can see if the suppliers I know carry them.

Not sure how it works for you guys up there but Mackin is the Industry that bascially imports all wheels here if I am correct. Whatever vendor you order thru they are the main line lead and supplier to get them here. There's a online vendor and store called Driveline in Cali that got me my wheels. I was the first one in the US, possibly North America to have the wheels in the finish that I do. You could try to contact them but not sure if it will benefit you if they only go thru US. As for my wheels I didn't pay any additional duties etc just one hefty price that I assume incl. everything.
