UPCOMMING EVOS ARE GOING TO BE HYBRIDS!!!???!!!???!!!
:!: Yes you heard right, the next model Evos will be Hybrids! To me this is a submission to Subawho, who will run away with the tuner market since I have yet to see a tuner with a Hybrid! Anyways...If I ever bought a Hybrid it would be a luxury car like the lexus not a "performance car"

nothing wrong with this guys. it will still be fast as fuck but daily driving will be much more affordable. we always hear about the evo guys complaining about how bad it is on gas! mitsu caring about the environment just shows that the company is growing in the right direction and doing what it needs to be recognized along side companies with hybrid vehicles.
i say definitely a good move!

no matter how much we might disapprove of hybrids, we must eventually embrace the future. many companies are already moving away from traditional gasoline engines into hybrids. Honda recently resurrected the CRX with the CRZ 2 door hatch that will be a hybrid only entry level performance car. The next S2000 will also be hybrid powered.
not only honda, nissan is in the works with a hybrid GT-R.
Hybrids are not necessarily a bad thing; the Lotus Evora is praised heavily.
In my opinion, as long as car manufacturers do not compromise the performance and 'fun-to-drive' element i have no problem going hybrid.

What about aftermarket parts? Those will be a contradiction to what the car is attempting to do emissions wise, and im sure there will need to be a whole new process in manufacturing them. Which would prob make them take as long as they do to make Lancer parts, since they need new/more R&D to make em work an not disturb the balance of the car.
