Hey team
Sorry I haven't made it out to well, Anything at all this year. I've been having a rather rough summer so far.
No problems with the cars at least, save the BMW which was vandalized a week ago. That was a costly repair... Some kids decided to go chucking rocks at cars and houses on my street last Friday night. Right through my passenger side window :( One neighbor lost the rear window, and another the kitchen window on his house. Cost me $923 to fix the damage (I have a high deductible because I figured if I'm ever going to make an insurance claim its going to be worthwhile!)
Things haven't been going well with my brother, we've been in and out of the hospital for a while now trying to get things sorted. ATM we know he has a cyst in his sinus cavity, which is not really a big deal just sucks. The biggest thing is the problems he is having with his spine. Right now we don't know Exactly what's wrong, he is waiting to hear back from a specialist re: his last set of MRI and CT scans. So far the Dr. explained it as the nerves in his spine are stretched tight and starting to separate. He is going to need surgery, they just aren't sure exactly where to do it yet and are still reviewing etc. But each Dr. we've been to said its going to have to happen sooner rather than later because if they wait on it he has a high chance to looses all feeling in his body, if not end up paralyzed. He already no feeling at all on his entire right side and the dr. said that's never coming back the damage is not repairable. He got a 2nd degree burn on his chest at the end of the winter from an electric blanket and didn't feel it at all. He burnt a roughly 5" x 2" strip of his chest and didn't notice until I was getting him up and dressed the next morning. That was kind of the even that got us asking for more tests etc. at the Dr. to try and find out how he could burn himself that bad and feel nothing. So yeah, had other things to do lately, but I'm hoping I can at least maybe get to the September CSCS show, depending of course on how things progress.
Also he is in the hospital again tonight, the nurse in Admitting said it looks like he has a kidney stone. So I guess I'll be up late with him again, hopefully this isn't too bad, but man he is in a Lot of pain right now...
Anyway enough of that for now. I just wanted to check in and let y'all know what I've been up to.

Re: Hey team
Oh..man... best of luck to your brother, at least he has you to care for him. It's all too common for families/siblings to abandon one another in today's day and age.

Re: Hey team
Man that is really sad to hear. Hopefully whatever the source of the problem is can be found and is fixable.. I wish your brother and your family all the best, and that he gets through this as best and as healthy as possible.

Re: Hey team
Thanks guys.
Update on the last bit. Its not a kidney stone, its his gallbladder. He currently has an NG tube in draining him out, that should come out tomorrow, but he needs his gallbladder removed as soon as the Dr. feels he is stable enough. I feel so bad for him but at the very least he is not in pain right now, the NG relieved a lot of the pressure in his belly and helped relax the distension. He was weighed when he was admitted, and today after the NG tube had been draining for 2 days, he lost 14 pounds of gas and fluid, that was a LOT of stuff not getting out, no wonder he was in so much pain.
Thanks again for the good wishes guys. Hoping I can see you lot again soon!
