Shocks...
Okay guys this is both an odd and n00b question ... I couldn't give an answer.
Hypothetically speaking... if one was on lowering springs, would "excessive bouncing" in the car ruin the shocks? LOL
It obviously can't affect it so much that it will blow the shocks or something, but will it affect it even to a minimal extent?

Re: Shocks...
Explain excessive bouncing? When your car is lowered you just have to drive accordingly, and eventually your stock shocks will get weaker overtime.

yea
Re: Shocks...
It could be anything from children jumping up and down in the back seat, people "hopping" into your car, physical activity ie fornication , or just anything that would make your car shake when it's in motion or not.

It really doesn't matter about how many times it bounces, it will get weaker no matter what. If you want something that will last for a very long time get a good spring/shock combo (If they make aftermarket shocks for the 08+ Lancers yet), or spend a lil more money and get coilovers

one rule when modding , always remember , every after market thing you add takes away from stock comfort setting , you gotta pay to play ,
Re: Shocks...
if you really want to lower your car that bad...go the coilover root...at least with a good set of coilovers you can adjust your damping levels depending on what kind of driving you'll be doing..softer for day to day and hard for the track. definitly worth the extra money in the long run
Re: Shocks...
i agree with foxracer coilovers are the way to go if you want lowering
