To anyone thinking of getting Medal of Honor 2010
It's not worth it.. In fact I'd be so biased now after all the crap, that anything released by EA/DICE isn't worth your time or money.
I picked up MOH as it was all hype, well, they are just now fixing the beta bugs and problems.. oOo.. So I've paid for a BETA product?!
... Fuck me sideways.
I'm 3 levels in, and the targeting systems doesn't work, I get 1 shot off, then it fails to respond. Mission failed. I've spent the better part of 2 days screwing with it, when the ENTIRE GAME is only about 4 hours long (. as I've been told .) ..
Multiplayer is a joke and has been overrun with cheaters with aim bots and hacks..
It was suposed to be a really good game, but now, it's probably more satifying to burn $60.. at least you'd get a warm feeling for a while..

Re: To anyone thinking of getting Medal of Honor 2010
It's 1/2 decent, but really having to modify my game style, so that it runs properly, really?
They are only now making the patch coming out for the game address beta problems.. So the whole game, no recoil, not much,
After the patch, the whole game will be changed.. MW2 if you want a modern warfare shooter..
Wait a few weeks and pick it up used.. But no more than maybe $25..
COD black ops is probably the one to watch, but even BF2 is comming out, if BF2 is anything better that BF2 and it's share of problems, that's where I'm going..

Re: To anyone thinking of getting Medal of Honor 2010
Wow, thanks for that info Cam ... I've been in debate with my friend over MoH vs CoD BlackOps ... I opted to save my cash for BlackOps. I figured MoH might have a better single player, but CoD will have WAY better multiplayer, but after hearing about this, I'm probably not even going to bother renting MoH.
You playing on PC/360/PS3? Anyone on PS3, I'm Chan__Man (yes, double underscore ... ugh)
Right now I'm looking forward to picking up Force Unleashed 2 tomorrow.
Also wouldn't mind a good split-screen flyer game ... those flying scenes in GoW3 got to me in a good way!
@Ruckus, how is GRID? I really wanted to pick it up when it came out, but was hurting for cash.
@stitch ... NFS:HP ... Nov 16th? I'll probably pick that up.
Ahhh ... my bank account is gonna kick my nuts.
Oct 26: Force Unleashed 2
Nov 2: GT5 (release date pushed back to Dec?)
Nov 9: CoD:BlackOps
Nov 16: NFS:HP

if CoD:BlackOps has Zombies (which is supposedly doesn't), I'll buy a 2nd copy for PC just so I can play custom maps! (first buying it for PS3)

Re: To anyone thinking of getting Medal of Honor 2010
Well, MOH is basically 2 games in 1.
Single player is built using the UT engine, so it's proven it's worth as a large world, huge number of entities on the maps, shit storm ready. No flinching in power hungry situations, smooth gameplay (. shy of a few bugs/glitches .)
Whereas the MP aspesct uses the BF: BC2 engine, which I can't say I've played on much as crap went down earlier with EA reset our stats.
(. long story short, I had an online game crew, we got big, about 12 of us joined a server, and realized that it would be unfair to all join the same team, so we split up into 2 groups and faught amongst ourselves as the rest of the server were getting slaughtered ... Next day log on and we get told that we were cheating the stats system by having teammates allow us to kill them.. They never said "Oops. sorry" they stuck to it that we were all cheaters and didn't care what we thought, we were cheating .) So I have a bad taste towards Battlefield, shy of 1942 and the previous games to BF2..
I'll give BF3 a chance because I like the ability to have squads in choppers, on the ground, the whole control of everything is where the fun is, but not if it is going to be watched and stats reset because friends want to have some fun together..
But back to my point.. It runs on the BF: BC2 engine, which I have heard has it's share of issues.. It can't handle shit hitting the fan.. so lots of explosions, gunfire, basically throw a war into it's face and it is reduced to a shivering pile of crap.. Don't know who decided to use 2 engines for the game, but it's hurt the game..
But back to MOH..
It's a solid Single player, and it'll give you an apreciation for what the men/women of the military have to go through, so it's a very touching story.. I won't drop any spoilers or anything. The story is good, you have a flow to it, you get to play all aspects from 1st on the ground, to the recon and stealth missions, there's some chopper assault, long distance sniper, and some of the most ferocious battles I've ever seen.. One round you hold a position, which basically crumbles around you.. And when it's over I was left shaking from just how much adrenaline I had going through me..
So the story is there, but if you don't let the bots lead.. It wouldn't pop the triggers up, and I'd have to start the round over again..
But MP is currently running rampant with cheaters.. Now at a LAN, it'd probably be pretty fun.. I'd like to test that out, but I have a feeling the COD has this modern warfare thing nailed down pretty tight by this point, what with having more MW games out..
The thing in COD MW/MW2 are that the upgrades for weapons are HUGE, MOH.. Not so much.. So it's sad to see that you play for hours and hours, and really, you don't get much out of it.
It's sad that MOH:AA was the greatest military game I'd played in years, and everything since has been a rushed out piece of garbage just to be first on the market.. Just because it's first, isn't necessarily a prime reason to be the best. It was rushed and the proof is all over the game.. I really hope they fix it as it REALLY does have potential.. But then again, COD: Black-Ops and BF3 will have these things already done, and possibly better..
So when I say it's not worth it.. It's not $60 worth it.. Pick it up for under 30 and it's a steal..
Just sad to see EA fucking the dog again on this.. Like gamers today will suckle on the tit of anything that promises to be the next big game.. It'll hook the fanboys, and they'll defend it because they were told it was the shit..
But, it's what I do.. Or, what I will be doing =)

Re: To anyone thinking of getting Medal of Honor 2010
Special Edition will include a remote control car with a camera and mic on it..
Due out this November, the special edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops will include a tiny remote control "video surveillance vehicle" inspired by the game's multiplayer.
The remote control vehicle, inspired by the RC-XD found in the game's multiplayer, has a range of about 200 feet and a fully-functioning remote camera that transmits both color video and audio. The car will only come with the yet-to-be-officially-priced Prestige Edition of the game, which also comes with all of the extras included with the Hardened Edition.
The Hardened Edition includes a custom Black Ops limited edition medal, exclusive Black Ops Avatar outfit (for either Live or Home), as well as four playable cooperative maps.
Both editions will be coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360 when the game ships on Nov. 9. No official price has been announced for either edition, but GameStop lists the Prestige Edition for $150 and the Hardened Edition for $80.
No word on who is manufacturing the vehicle, but since the night vision rig looked an awful lot like it was made by toy maker EyeClops, and toy maker Spy Gear also makes a video camera-sporting truck, I suspect it could be a toy company.

^ oh.......
but nah, I'll stick to just the game itself ($59+tax)..
unless the tiny RC w/ camera can help me get a high K/D ratio or get me to the top of the list with 52 kills and 3 deaths and ending it w/ a nuke...lmao

Might not be able to do that, but I'm sure with a little tweak you can get some sweet up-skirts ... ... ... ... I'm just getting the regular version, or the hardened one.
