Check Engine Light

Well I got this car begining of October and the dies week in the cel came on after I pumped the car out up the street. All after all mitsubishi said it probably the air in take. The car also has just a Magna Flow muffler and tip. Well now since Thursday the cel has been on I know the code that came up last time was po171 but I gonna go tomorrow to parts source and see what comes up. I'm very disapointed so far I think I got a lemon what do I do to see what the problem is ? :scratch:

check your o2 sensor and make sure its not dirty. also when you fill up, click the gas cap like 3-4times. hopefully that fixes the problem. sucks that ur having all thse problems! sell it!

Just noticed, your car has the EvoX bumper, colour matched, with colour matched grille trim and re-meshed grilles/air dams. Looks pretty good.

plug into a OBDII and it'll tell you exactly what the CEL is for.

i have one, but they dont tell you EXACTLY whats wrong, they come up with those codes, some codes all cars share and it will give you the general idea of what it is, other codes are manufacture specific and you need a book or usually google to find out what it means...

Well no work today Honda is close to toast at 356000 km. Droped my girl off at work then went to the next red light and car wanted to stall went to take off and it was puttery and had to mash the gas just to go 40 and it was sounding like a mac truck made it home luckly. Going to the garage later hope I don't need a new beater we'll see what the bill comes to.

Hey ok I did some research and the code is telling that your vehicle is running too lean due to either a dirty MAF (Mass Air Flow) or a leak somewhere past your MAF. You have an air intake can you specify what brand and what filter you have on it. Oil filter such as K&N if over oiled can dirty MAF.

Oh shit for real damn bro thanx man I've been woofing about this since I put her away. Well I found a short ram with a K&N filter and it seemed preety oily so hopefully it's that. Does anybody know how much they are and where
