Yes that is me. You hit the nail on the head.
But only on the track. And because I can fix it if I break it...... When I break it.

Re: Eclipse GT
Ok so sitting on my garage floor is a pile of parts to be installed.
OBX long tube headers
High flow fuel pump
Eibach sway bars
Urithane engine bushings
used magnaflow exhaust and high flow cat
Installed friday was the 265lph fuel pump.
This morning The rear sway bar went in with a new set of links.
I needed my car tonight so the rest had to wait. I dont need my car untill next saturday so i have a week to do the headers, mounts, front sway and exhaust. Should be more than enough time to get all done. Its going to be nice to finally get my wide band sensor installed.

Re: Eclipse GT
I got a lot of work done today. although it doesnt feel like it. I got the front manifold out, down pipe is out, Mid pipe and rear manifold are unbolted from the car. I just need to cut the bolts holding them together and they will come out aswell. I'm happy that ive been able to remove 3 of the 4 O2 sensors so far. The last one I cant reach yet. I had fears of not being able to get them out in one piece.
Getting those rear manifold bolts out is a real pain. Not reccomended for the novice. My stubby 14mm wrench got some good use.
Stock front manifold next to the OBX front header. Thats a nice difference.
I also removed the lower brace that I destroyed at the rallicross last month. I was hoping to be able to just bend it sumwhat straight again but now that I got a side view of the damage its not saveable.

Re: Eclipse GT
Thanks guys. Got more work done tonight.
6000k HID's showed up. and got them installed. No pics of the install yet.
Rear sway bar out, and all the stock manifolds are out.
New sway bar in place but not yet bolted in. Lots of space in there without all that exhaust pieces.
More work and more pictures tomorrow.

Re: Eclipse GT
Thank you. I cant wait to ger her out on the track again. Thats where all this work is going to pay off.
I got them from another member on Club4G. He decided not to install them. He got them from Road race engineering. There made by Energy suspension. You should be able to get them at Next mod or any performance shop.

Re: Eclipse GT
Car is still not tuned. And EGR still needs fixed. But I have been working on other things that I need for this race season.
Now I have an easy way to get my tires to the track. Those are my winters on it. I just need to mount a box on the front of it to cary everything else I need.
Also picked up a lowprofile jack. With all the lowered cars that have been in my driveway over the last little while I really need one. I'm tired of driving on blocks to get my car off the ground.
This is how my car looks now with the stock ralliart rims on it. Looks like crap.
My wife's car looks good though. She wants coilovers now too.

Winning, gotta love when the wife/wifey wants car parts. It makes it that much easier the next time you want something.

Re: Eclipse GT
Yes it does. Coilovers will probably be her next purchase.
My race tires are just waiting to be mounted on my race rims.
This also arrived today. Make an allready useless seat compleatly useless. I'll have one harness soon. The second will have to wait for now.

Here's a screen shot of my g force meter from one of my autocross runs from Saturday. I'm fairly happy with pulling over a G lateral. I expect to pull more as the temperatures increase and my skill increases.

Re: Eclipse GT
Which iphone App is that one, I have tried a bunch but they are not very effective unless its mounted on a absolutely rigid surface.
I am likely going to get a Traqmate this year.

It's dash commander. And yes they have to be mounted well. I get a good window mound for it. It's also braced on the dash.
