anyway you can tell me if it is illegal to have these running while im parked?

Of-course driving with them are illegal,

i'm going to say that while parked you're good to go, as long as you're not on the shoulder of a roadway/highway parked. parking lots are private property, therefore police officers cant do much...MTO on the other hand can, and will. when you're driving make sure to turn them off and just have your drl's on, or headlights.

i will look into this more and see if i can find anything...

when i got my tint done they said the legal limit was 30% in the front. so i got 30% for the front two and 15% all around in the back. There is no actual number set for tint but you shud be good for 30% in the front. 15% is really dark already...

alright cool, i'll make sure i have them off when I'm on the road then (and resist the temptation to flick em on)

HTA Sec 62(1)
Lamps required on all motor vehicles except motorcycles- When on a highway at any time from one half hour before sunset to one half hour after sunrise and at any other time, when, due to insufficient light or unfavourable atmospheric conditions, persons and vehicles on the highway are not clearly discernible at a distance of 150 meters or less, every motor vehicle other than a motorcycle shall carry three lighted lamps in a conspicuous position, one on each side of the front of the vehicle which shall display a WHITE OR AMBER light only, and one on the rear of the vehicle which shall display a red light only.

Red light in front- In addition to the lighting requirements in this part, A VEHICLE DESCRIBED IN SUBSECTION (15.1) may carry lamps that cast a red light only or such other colour of light that may, with the approval of the ministry, be designated by a by-law of the municipality in which the vehicle is operated, BUT NO OTHER MOTOR VEHICLE SHALL CARRY ANY LAMP THAT CASTS A RED LIGHT TO THE FRONT.
section (15.1) describes the vehicle permitted for red light on the front...BASICALLY, of you're not an officer, ambulance, fire truck, school bus, conservation officer, fishery officer...anything to do with the law and enforcement you cannot have one...

that being said, it does state that you cant opperate a vehicle on a highway with a red light unless your one of the above provisions... a parking lot is not classified as a highway.

I would say while parked in a parking lot you will be okay....but be careful. if you see a ministry vehicle, TURN THEM OFF TO BE SAFE. and for damn well sure TURN THEM OFF BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE LOT!

I got pulled yesterday for my tints, maybe i shouldn't have told Infamous the day before that I have yet to get pulled for em! Anyways he says he can't tell if I have my seat belt on (which I did) and then made me read my license number through the window and said he should be able to see it through the window? The numbers aren't that big! All in all he said im getting 3 outta 5! tickets. 1=Tint 2=Plate cover 3=a portion of my ins slip is torn off and both need to be together so a ticket for fail to show ins? After everything he says I can get these thrown out, this is the second time a cop has said this to me after giving me a shit load of B.S. tickets! Why give em, if your going to tell me they will all get thrown out?...

Wtf?!? That's balls dro! Head to an MTO office to dispute ... good chance you'll get there and they'll say the tickets have already been waived. Went to place a dispute for someone for two different tickets, one was already waived. No explanation.

like last yr right b4 c7 spring tour .i drove to my apt parked car went inside to give my girl some $$ for the day& i come out there is a cop car parked behind my skyline .i looked at him & went to put the key in my door & guess what i got cherryed?????
during the police trying to act like tough guys one cop opens his passenger door hits a girls car driving passed & telles her to keep going its just min damage..i told her to stay call there supervisor & get new paint job (so she stayed)..hhahahaha
i get 3 tickets for walking to my car i own (muffler/no rhd sticker/sound from muffler to loud?) i never even started my car during all this
1=muffler -ya it big so what
2=no rhd sticker-no need for sticker i have turning lights(blinkers)
3=sound to loud from muffler-how thay get this cause i never started my car or seen a device that reads my sound comming from muffler
all in all this is how it is all the time for me (spend my time getting all this crap dropped in court. EVERYTIME)
also 2 yrs ago i was on a skyline cruise & 10 of us were driving normaly to hwy in missauga & a copper passes us on outher side of road.see's us & busts a uturn on hearontario almost hits 2 outher trucks doing that and flys full speed up to us just to pull over the last car in our group just to question him and look for ileagle stuff in his car (he found nothing)but dose the cop get a ticket for driving like a nut ball just cause he seen a few skylines .NOPE
so what the cops can & cant do ..haha thay can do what ever thay want & there nothing we can do about it .unless you want to spend millions in court to get no where (there the biggest gang in the world)
this is why i am going to put 3 cams w/sound in my gtr (1-rear bumper by plate,& outher 2 are going to face each side window-driver & passenger)then when i see shit like this happening i can show somone at least how it is out there & the b.s. we get for not even breaking the law

donno what happened to her ..but there was a nice scratch going from her rear drivers door all the way to the back of her car..all cause the cop couldnt look b4 opening his door he had to get out like a tough guy chest poped out n all ..hahaha
i was toled to leave by supervisor that came or my car will be towed away.i said to him but im her witness for what happened i should stay n give a report ?he says nope leave .
i think i was made to leave cause that wanted to flex ther muscle at that poor lady & make her feel like it was her fault.

i even talked to my dads neighbour in barrie & he even told me that he was speeding offduty up 400 and cop pulled him over for speeding & when he said he was a cop to he was let go ? i find this is b.s (but looks like if you want to get away with all kinds shit become a cop and nothing will happen to you.)

oh another question - probably not the brightest question, but can an Officer penalize you for taking a turn fast? -- I mean, even if its under the posted speed limit

always wondered because a long time ago when i had my civic, the officer pulled me over and he started off by saying

"did you realize how fast you were going on that turn?"

couldn't have been more than 20ish, (mind you.. this was when i was 16 lol)

Im thinking they can, under wreckless driving, cause if you figure, taking a right angle turn off a rd with a speed limit of 80 doing like 70, youre gonna lose control. ACTUALLY, now that I think of it, that happened in high school, my buddy did it when we were driving back to the school, cause he's an idiot and he got charged with wreckless or careless, i forget, and that was without the cop even being there or asking anyone besides my buddy driving what happened. so if they actually see you fly around a corner im thinking they can call it wreckless? but, thats off the top of my head, we should stake out law classes and recruit us a lawyer member lol

Sounds about right ... I took a corner fast, pulled into my friend's driveway ... cop pulls up behind and shines the floodlight ... comes up and says I was driving quick (not likely, it's two close turns followed by a bend with my friend's house like 4 houses f/ the curve ... also in a 4cyl 2.5L dodge spirit) ... he let me off b/c he didn't clock me, but I imagine wreckless driving would be a viable cause.

I remember once at scarb town center a van rolled up and blocked me in, a guy and girl came out plain clothes knocked on my window, i just opened it a crack and the guy like we'd like to see your licence and registration please. Im like who are you? he said we're under cover cops now show us some id, i told him no show me a badge first, he got sooo pissed and started yelling asking me do i want to goto jail tonight, i told him im calling the police and rolled my window up should seen how fast this guy went to his van and got his badge, but i still called the police and waited for a cruiser to come, which was even worse, they made me and my girl get out the car and they searched the whole thing and even made me take off my shoes fucking dicks! last time i ever had sex in that parking lot
