Portable Garage Empty Portable Garage

Post by b00st Sat May 11, 2013 2:04 pm

Hey all. I was hoping to find someone that has had experiences with the canopy style portable garages. I'm just trying to get some opinions as to whether they are worth buying or not. Canadian Tire has one on sale right now $250 off. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

never had one myself, but i guess if you dont have a garage to work in this may be something to consider..

obviously it'll be to protect yourself from the weather, so i would only get it if it kept the floor dry as well. you dont wanna get this to work on the car in bad weather, and then water starts leaking in from the bottom and you cant get underneath your car anymore. Also, if youre gonna use it year round, make sure it'll hold in heat from a portable heater.

hopefully someone who's actually used one can give you some real advice

thx for the response. ive gotten quite a bit of info from ppl and the general consensus is, do not get one unless u can shelter behind another building from the wind. no matter what anchoring u use...the wind tends to do its work regardless of the anchoring....gunna come up with a new plan me thinks.

Well...I have one. Problem is, Im completely renovating an old farm house and half my house is in the garage leaving me no room to even walk. My plan now might be relocating all the stuff in there to the girlfriends parents place... just gotta make room in their garage. Too bad, woulda been easier to just setup the big tent haha
