well the plastic has a raised texture to it so i wouldnt think you need to sand it , one thing tho is it will scratch over time from touching if people have rings on etc , so expect it to scratch , your best bet would be vinyl

and you can never go wrong with a coat of primer , then a light sand of the primer
then add your colour

Or just prime no sand I'm using flat black and giving it a little shine with light light coats of clear

usually primer is sanded to help the colour bond well to it , if you go to cdn tire you can get a primer/filler which will fill any scratches you may already have and prime at the same time , i used it on my stock lancer hood and my grill and it came out pretty good , the hood didnt chip at all over the winter , same with my grill

Pillars almost done. Then start the rims. Wanna do the grill but seems hard to take out all of them need to lift the car up or put the front on jacks to get under but don't really have the space even getting my rims off. The tent for my car is tight

You don't need to lift the car to get the grill out? It about 8 screws/clips can't remember exactly which ones.

Well guys I need some help. So I got a jack for my car and figured out a spot to jack it in the front but the back ? My side skirts are stoping me from using the normal jack points if u do the skirts the bend big time so I can't. Plus it's in this tent garage so no space. Wanna spray the rims for PW. I've had a couple people look and they don't no. Any ideas ?

Dro it's an aftermarket front end it's just the tabs u bend, but I can't reach them. Wanna do the grill though so bad

Well just reinstalled the pillars , the back went in great but the front fucking shit fuck lol. There's a clip thingy at the bottom close to the side mirror that faces u when u sit can't get the shit back in so their just sitting in the car. Juice I know u took yours out do u know which clip I speak of. I almost cut the thing off but didn't. YET

I have to use hockey pucks with my jack to get it so it won't hurt the underside. i don't have jack points. Totally sucks gotta baby sit shops when they go to jack it if they don't have ramps.

Yo DS, use something and put it ontop of the jack where it connects with the car like NW said. I do it at my shop to avoid damaging sideskirts as well, I just place a piece of wood or something there and it works everytime.

Well got the pillars in just bent the shit out of the clip , sitting a little funny now but it's all good. Ordered twm short shifter Tuesday and got it today booya. Just gotta black out rims , grill, emblems, and lights. Where should I go for tinting the lights wanna do heads aswell.

side markers/reflectors/third break light is easy u can do urself , be careful if u do your headlights not sure about if they are legal or not , but if u do do them go to shinzo and just get em to do everything for u while ur there ,

yup , i just ordered a sheet of tint from them when i did my reflectors side markers etc , but for things like tails and heads its better to just get em to do it for u

Yeah shinzo is awesome, I went there and just bought their darker tint for my tails and wrapped it myself, once you get the hang of it (did 2/5 break lights) it was pretty simple. Just need patience. But if you don't want to mess with it they don't charge alot to do it (At least when I went they didnt...)
