Re: INFAMOUS 2008 Lancer GTS 2.0L
There's an option on the software to reset the CEL ... that alone might be worth it if you're getting the CEL a lot.

Re: INFAMOUS 2008 Lancer GTS 2.0L
Im not Shane but im going to answer anyways...
To generate vortex of couse! (real talk)
:study: The idea is that areas like the transition between the roof and rear window on the average car creates a large vortex. Any large vortices effectively grab the car and try to hold it back as it tries to slip through the air. If the air that makes up the vortex can be "tripped" before it leaves the back of the car, it will make smaller vortices, which will have a smaller effect on the overall aerodynamics of the vehicle. :study:

Vortex generators help reduce the drag of the car, and they look awesome!

Re: INFAMOUS 2008 Lancer GTS 2.0L
Lovin my VG. Kinda works like a diffuser for your roof ... pulls air down, so there's a smaller amount of slow moving air rushing againsts your car, which in turn reduces drag. Similar to what those dimples do on golfballs.
Would work good too with a spoiler I'd imagine as it would help channel more air downwards along it.
Shane ... when did you get the Takeda SRI? Is that the new V2 or the sexy V1 like mine? lol ... heck, they're both nice!!

Sweet @$$ Sweet! That's the V1 ... like mine!
That's not your car ...
Did you have issues screwing it into the ECU cover? I imagine not since you probably had to open it for your PiggyBack.
V2 is for 2.4L, but should fit 2.0L as well.

Re: INFAMOUS 2008 Lancer GTS 2.0L
yea i know its not my car , i didnt take a pic since the install didnt fit proper
1 where the box sits on those 2 pins that didnt line up proper , i had to shave the box and it still didnt fit
2 mounting to the ecu didnt work since the bolt is like half inch too short
3 the rubber attaching to the throttle body isnt sitting flush but its on good enuff to not come off
overall i like the design and i do feel the difference going from rrm crappy v1 intake to this takeda ,it sounds better then the rrm to , but 100% fail on their end in terms of fitment , the fitment was so shitty i got really mad , took 2 hours messing around to get it in when its a fuckin sri it should take like 10 mins , i know aftermarket never fits 100% and you sometimes have to toy around wit it but fuck when you spend money on things and its that bad of a fitment when its made specific for your car

Re: INFAMOUS 2008 Lancer GTS 2.0L
Mine fit good, took me almost an hour to put it in though.
Biggest problem was that ECU bolt ... I ended up using a cross-connect nut and screwing it in from the inside (of the heatshield box to the ECU bolt).
Definitely not a lot of threading to work with but it's held on pretty good. You can take a look at it tonight if you want.

Re: INFAMOUS 2008 Lancer GTS 2.0L
yes they stick on and there are clips that hold them down to , but it still didnt stop mine from flying off on the 401 , next time ima make sure it aint going no where
Re: INFAMOUS 2008 Lancer GTS 2.0L
Mine sticks w/ double sided tape and the side edges get stuck under those little strips on the roof that run along each side, and the back actually tucks under the rear windshield slightly. There's even a slight gap b/c when I was peeling the double sided tape off, one of the pieces folded and stuck and I didn't want to tear it off to fix the one little piece of tape.

Infamous FYI: 2x10" Pioneer Subs w/BassWorx Box & 780w Pioneer Amp. I don't remember, but do you have the cap as well? If you do, it's a soundstream 4.0 Farad Capacitator.
