Re: Altima Coupe 3.5
Thanks guys, for the kind words!
It's good that you know where your focus lies with the car. You seem performance oriented, which will help you pick what to do first
You can get a very nice set of rims and rubber for under $1500 in most cases. I paid $1100 for mine, installed and balanced. Granted, they aren't going to win any prize for Best Rims, they do their job LOL I'd recommend contacting Rockstar Motorsports for your wheels (519-620-1882) They do top of the line stuff, for a very decent price. I am sure the guys on here can give you their contacts as well. Make sure you shop around lots - it never hurts!
In terms of a good shop to take the car to, I would recommend Streetwyze Customs in Burlington (streetwyzecustoms.com) I trust their tech - he knows his stuff and he's very thorough. Also, they have the right set up for working on lowered cars, which might help ya down the road! If you can't find anyone closer to home, it would be worth the trip. Good luck, and let me know how things go!

Or camera cars..Painted Black wrote:Some of us are more "show" than "go"
Totally in agreeance with PB on everything, its your car, and as long as you think it's the greatest thing on 4 wheels, who cares that the world is flat!
As the first thing I'm doing to my car is getting the windows tinted and fixing the front bumper.. Performance can wait, for now..

Re: Altima Coupe 3.5
Yea, I have no problem at all with a camera car. Personally I'd love to slap on a nice white taffeta paint job on my car, take it down to Shinzo Werks and get them to whip up something nice fitting my current 'SubZero' theme =P
But bro, you have an Impreza , those babies come stock with beautiful performance and handling. (what model exactly?)

Plain Jane Impreza 2.5i Sport.
sunroof, heated seats, Sirius radio, 6cd were extra.. Other than that, stock.
Rims, rubber, lower, system = done
Anything else is a bonus.

Re: Altima Coupe 3.5
I had my car painted at PaintWerx in Shelburne (basically Orangeville.) I had the entire car repainted with House of Kolor product (including the ice glitter) and some airbrushing for less than 4k. Here's Derek's # 519-925-9703. I'm happy with the work that was done, so I'd recommend him. Here's what he airbrushed on my car, so you get an idea of the work he does...

Re: Altima Coupe 3.5
those are some serious decals you want to put on the car! gonna be honest with you; please dont do anything "rice" to this car. art and stuff looks cool; dont get me wrong. just dont do a whole lot! has to look nice and clean at the end of the day. not just a bunch of decals stuck on. ;)

Re: Altima Coupe 3.5
yea i know what u mean - for now i got crap loads of time on my hands lol, so i'm just picturing it. But as far as reality goes, when it comes to the visual aspect - i can only afford a window tint and probably smoked lens. The rest is already put aside for wheels, suspension and anything i can really do to ensure the health of my engine and transmission.
but it'd certainly be nice to do the decal work after my car is able to prove its worthy of showing off its colors =P

Re: Altima Coupe 3.5
One word: SLUDGE
Get your car over to the shop right now lol Get the cooling system flushed!!! You're likely making your internal seals very unhappy with what seems to be ancient coolant.
As for the artwork, talk to an artist and get a quote. I was originally going to do my exterior up too, but later settled on just the small stuff under the hood. Cleaner and easier to keep from damage!
Let us know what happens with the rad!
