Re: Altima Coupe 3.5
Alright, so an update...
1. Powerslot rotors & Hawk HPS pads - Installed today
2. Injen SRI - waiting on weather to install + Stock Dyno run
3. Tein Street Advance Coilovers - waiting on my next day off to pick them up from Nextmod
4. Enkei ******* 18x8.5 + 18x9.5 - Waiting to arrive (backorder)
5. Nitto Invo 245/45r18 - Ordered, not in stock -> Being made fresh
Next things on my list are:
1. Roll fenders
2. RC Y-Pipe
3. Re-doinging the red projector look I had on my old eclipse
4. Super High gloss carbon roof wrap
5. Front lip or Stillen front facia
6. Buy a winter beater
And some pics from the brake install - no cuts/bruises... pretty straight forward aside from the one seized sliding pin and the torsion bars in the rear blocking the sliding pins

Alright...
I'm still waiting on the strut mounting kits to arrive... a little nervous to be using the McPherson strut compressor... or whatever its called, never used one before.
One of the older guys at work keep tellin me how the compressor broke on some dude and the spring broke his face.... T_T

Re: Altima Coupe 3.5
looking good. I recently was reading excellence magazine and they had a modified Porche runing close to 1000hp featured running those tires. Strongly considering the swap.

Re: Altima Coupe 3.5
Thanks guys.
Yeah, I don't regret getting these tires at all. In my relatively novice experience with performance tires, I find they have a really good balance between noise, treadwear and performance.
A customer let me drive his carrera 's' with Michelin pilot super sports and obviously the grip is AMAZING, but at the same time... I felt like I could hear every single stone I drove over and the owner was used to the fact that he'd be lucky to get 20000kms out of the rears =/
With my budget and lack of extreme-grip needs, I"m sticking with the invos. I'm hoping to get 50000-60000 kms out of these tires with regular rotations

Re: Altima Coupe 3.5
Ooookie, forums been a little dead... I stopped posting in my build thread because that one time the OPP pulled us all over and started reading off our "mods" lists... which was low, and pathetic. But What ever, all the mods below will be legal
figured I'd post an update on my plans for the car for the upcoming season,
Got a bunch of stuff in, over the winter while my car was sitting in "storage"
First off, my car's pedal placement kinda sucks... makes it hard to do heel-toe-downshifts and the grip on the oem pedals aren't that great so...
Then, I have the bumper to have installed. A big lesson learned with this bumper, I bought it from a company that isn't known all too well (unlike stillen). In fine print, the bumper was said to need "Minor modifications"... my quote to have the bumper "modified", painted and installed came to $1200 - but I took it as a learning experience... an expensive one
The , RC Strut bar, RC Grounding Kit, Anzo Projector headlights and a few other goodies
I wasn't a fan of the extra halogen housing... so with the advice of a few guys on the whatsapp group, I took em apart. I plan to replace the halogen housing with a projector kit from The Retrofit Source... though I am slacking on the project
Aaaand, a small change up on the wheel setup for the season
19x10 +35 Braelin BR02 - Got them through work for a price I couldn't resist
Now I just need to get my hands on the rubber
I'm still waiting for spring so I can place an order on a few more things. I believe my CF hood is sitting at a warehouse in the states, waiting for more things to gather there so they can be picked up, and aside from that I just need to do my exhaust

Re: Altima Coupe 3.5
Looks like a lot of goodies. Good luck with the installs.
As a side note, what do you mean the OPP started reading your 'mod list'? - I don't want it to turn into a discussion, just curious.

Re: Altima Coupe 3.5
Thanks bud, a little more show oriented this year
They pulled us over at a OPP+MTO+MOE roadblock/inspection site on our way to CSCS. They had our forum names + mod lists ready to read out while they gave out tickets. Ruckus and ryo_awd had their comments and mods read to them I believe
