Re: Juice's HID Retrofit Project
trimmed down one shroud ... just gotta sand it down a bit more to get it nice and even ... then it's painting time.
After the paint comes the epoxy, then AE's, then main projector is ready. Next gotta trim the shroud for the aesthetic projector and find me some LEDs. Slap an AE on it, and then seal up the headlight.
Driver's side should be quick to do once passenger side is done.
Then it's off to Shinzo to get them lightly smoked ... like 10% ... then epoxy on the eyelids, and install.

Re: Juice's HID Retrofit Project
i think that shroud might not give you the broad view that projectora are supposed to do. might want to trim it down till the edge of the projector lens.
looks sick though. what color are you going to paint the shroud?

Re: Juice's HID Retrofit Project
I already trimmed it down about 2cm on top and I think it was 1.3cm on the bottom ... needs to come down a touch more still.
Shrouds are going to be flat black ... might paint the chrome ring red to keep with my theme. I don't think the projectors I have produce a very wide light pattern to begin with, but that was one of the things I was testing with the shrouds. Will trim some more and do another test. Thanks for the tip G!

Painted parts:
Next step ... add inner projector and trim inner shroud, then paint rest of housing black. Getting there ... slowly ...

Those are my smoking shoes ... they were free and are pretty ruined.
Wanted to get a lot done today, but nachos and beer as a first meal of the day at 2p doesn't promote a productive day.

Re: Juice's HID Retrofit Project
haha ... after I'm done, I'll probably install these headlights, and start on another.
I'm willing to try to retrofit someone else's headlights, but I'd try Brandon w/ RetroLite first as if it takes me as long to do one for you as it's taking for mine, expect a one year wait.
