ya for a skyline do a compression test on the motor to make shure it ok 1st & if it stock it should be around 7g to 10g max ....good luck on a car budd :S

on another note - how would i perform a weight reduction procedure on my car? Similar to big Korean guys acura? - or would i have to bring it to a professional'n pay for it?

I thought about getting an a-pillar with gauges, but it'd have like 3 clocks on it ... hehe.
Can you choose which gauges you get, or are those the only ones available? Just because, if you need/want to replace them with different gauges, that website you linked sells each gauge for $35-$110.
Personally, I think they look nice and that's a really good price ... just don't sit there flipping through the colours while cruising KC looking for a spot to park on a Wednesday night while you have a disco light plugged into your car going. We WILL make you park far away from us. hehe

i went to some store in pacific mall today to look at some HID kits....I asked the asian dood if he had 9003 bulbs in 10000k color temp'.....and it was like I was invisible to him - he sat there flipping through his magazine and started talking to the other guy behind the counter o_O

Aright well, I've posted my ad for the Eclipse on Kijiji for $5800 (hoping high) and so far i've had 1 offer of $2500 and another offer of $5900.

I'm gunna sell the car if I can find an Evo 6, 7, or 8. But the only way I can afford an Evo 8 is if I finance it through a dealer, so hopefully the guys at Mitsubishi can find me one that they still have.

I really don't think I should be dropping major money on this 3G (as great as it is)

to my knowledge, I believe only the Evo 8 was the first available evo in north america (US specifically). I'm not sure whether mitsubishi dealerships in ontario have any older evos, but they do pop up every now and then through used car dealerships and private sales.

I've been told I can disconnect the car battery and drain the power in the cars capacitors to flash it -
