Re: Jfrzy's 4th Gen Altima Sedan
is there a picture of the whole car with the bumper?
in the end all that matters is that your satasified with it , thats what modding is about , individual tastes in cars , wether its my style or not as long as its done clean and functional, i appreciate

^Truth.
I'll just have to wait and see how it looks on my car. If it looks bad, I'll be the first to flame it . But from pics I've seen I really like it on every color except silver.

I like it, unique, and rare, the two most uncommon attributes.

+1 on both and personal opinion not crazy about the GTR bumper, but to each their own and hope you pull it off. I've bought a lot of odd parts for my car that people thought were hideous but it's all about how you pull it off. Just remember less is more!

Re: Jfrzy's 4th Gen Altima Sedan
Definitely going to keep it clean! I've never been a big fan of body kits because the stigma has always been oh you have a kit, your car must be rice . But after browsing various forums, I've come across a lot of tastefully modded cars with kits on them.
I plan to have all the work done professionally, so it won't look half ass, and hopefully it ties in with the Stillen side skirts and Nismo rear corners. One thing I've learned is that there will always be someone who isn't a fan of the way your car looks. It's nothing against me as a person just a personal preference thing and you can't fault ppl for that. Hell there are a lot of cars oit there I think are ugly, but I can see the joy their owners get from showing them off and driving them and I can respect that passion.

Before I mount the bumper after paint, I'll be getting it wrapped in 3M clear bra as well to prevent rock chips and bug tar.

Re: Jfrzy's 4th Gen Altima Sedan
to be honest out of the cars i have seen with this gtr bumper, this might be the only one that pulls it off the best , after browsing , it does flow ok with the car once lowered and with a nice hood , that goes back to the how you bring it all together part , cant wait to see it in person
this kit looks like shit on g35's and on 350z tho

Re: Jfrzy's 4th Gen Altima Sedan
My biggest dilemma lately has been deciding on wheels. I want tuner-style wheels as oppose to VIP wheels; something I can dress up with Project Mu teal lugnuts. The two styles I'm leaning towards the most are single-piece multi-spoked or multi-piece with a chrome lip. I'm obviously liking a lot of Rays, Volks and Work wheels. Depending on what I decide on, which I'll be waiting for the whole kit to be painted and mounted on the car before making the decision, I might get genuine wheels or really good reps just to save a little. I'm not trying to roll with wheels that cost more than my car .
My top choices so far though are Volk CE28N, TE37 or LE28N, Work VS-XX, Rays Nismo A34 or Rays G35 Factory Wheels and I also liked the BBS GTP but I don't think I'd like to spend that much on wheels and there aren't any nice enough reps that I've found.
For any wheel I choose, I'd really like to get it in one of the following finishes: gloss black, dark gunmetal (maybe with pearl), black chrome or neo chrome. I'd love a set of any of the Volks in black/neo chrome even if I have to get it done aftermarket. And for the Rays wheels they'd get powdercoated in dark gunmetal if not black chrome. Works def a neo chrome lip, black face and teal bolt hardware (custom powdercoat).
Ugh so many decisions. This is why wheels have been put off til last. Anyone know where I can go to get black chroming done on wheels?

Re: Jfrzy's 4th Gen Altima Sedan
if your using a gtr bumper/kit , i wouldnt even consider vip style rims , id go tuner/race style
the gtr bumper has pretty much set the trend for your ride now

Re: Jfrzy's 4th Gen Altima Sedan
Exactly, which is why it's probably a good thing I've held off on wheels. Lol it's just going to look weird with factory 17s and a full kit once it's on .

My front bumper was delivered today, crusing across the border tmrw to pick it up at the U.S. Postal Address service that I used to save on shipping. AIT is an American manufacturer so hopefully I save on duties.

Re: Jfrzy's 4th Gen Altima Sedan
Received my Project Kics R40 tuner lug nuts today. Got them in neo chrome! Once I get the wheels I want they'll pop even more than against stock wheels. Unforunately bumper won't be on for CSCS.

Got a great deal on a Kenwood DNX7180 brand new. Will be installed as soon as it arrives! Really stoked about the built-in nav features.

Re: Jfrzy's 4th Gen Altima Sedan
EBay! The model's discontinued by Kenwood, but anywhere local still sells them for at least $850-$1300. Used on kijiji minimum $550. I've searching patiently for the right deal for months, but the other night I was just shopping on eBay and came across a listed by a top seller (only 1 negative feedback and it was for shipping cost miscommunication) selling it for $900. It was o e of those where you didn't have to bid, just buy now or make an offer. I said okay whatever I'll offer $600, they'll probably say no. I didn't even really expect to be buying it, but not long after I get an email saying enjoy your new Kenwood dnx7180 .

Re: Jfrzy's 4th Gen Altima Sedan
Here it is installed. Wrapped the dash kit in 3M cf vinyl to match the shift plate. I'll also be doing my steering wheel and door trim with it as well. I'm still fabricating a custom lexan plate for my sub placement, but when it's done I'll post pics of that as well.
